Rules about advertising a server event?

I'm new here and could not see any spacific posting rules.
I host a BF2 server and run mods on it.
This weekend I want to host an event with a mod that is very seldom played.
What I'm looking for is a bussy forum that I can post the ip to my server, a link so everyone can get the mod to be run, and set up a date and time.

So, is this against any posting rules here? I don't want to step on anyones toes by advertising where it is not wanted. ( i use advertising loosly as I am not actually selling anything...lol)

And can you tell me more about the mod, tell me lots about the mod.
Is it just server side too, so nothing to download.
