Strange bubbling/delay voice sounds

Hi, yesterday I installed my new Sound Blaster SE sound card for better gaming experience. Everything was all right till I heard the voices.

BF2 - strange sounds

So as you can hear all the sounds are working fine except the voice overs which sounds like someone is drowning. I reinstalled BF2 with no result. I checked Battlefield 2142 out of curiousity and I didn't find a problem there.

I have all new drivers and my motherboard is ASUS P5E.

First of all: you went from onboard sound to a $27.00 pci card. What kind of Receiver, Amp, or speaker setup are you pumping this to? The card should sound a little bit better. Its certainly no X-Fi. You are using the latest drivers off creative's website I assume?

What audio settings did you use in BF2?

Well mainly I bought this sound card becouse the onboard one was crap (not using mic...) and I wanted to be sure no problems will occur with next one. The previous card was soundmax and I really don't recomend it to anyone.

Well I don't think I get the question. I was using defaut settings if this is what you're asking for.

Try changing the sound options if BF2 to use hardware instead of software. That may help. Also try to disable your onboard sound device in Device Manager.

When you installed the new Sound card did you make sure to uninstall the drivers for the Soundmax onboard device? Did you also make sure to disable the Soundmax device from within the BIOS?
