    Anti Aliasing Problem

    Hey guys hows it going?

I just installed battlefield 2 on my lappy and it runs great... except it won't allow me to turn on anti aliasing... everything else is maxed, but for some reason every time i try to turn on anti aliasing, it reverts back to the 'off' position. wtf. anyone know why it does this? any help is appreciated.

    Here are my specs:
    Alienware m15x
    1440x900 native res.
    core 2 duo @ 2.5ghz
    nvidia m8800GTX
    2GB of ram
    windows vista
and thats pretty much all that's important.. but yeah, it runs great and looks great, except for the jagged lines that are pissing me off! thanks in advance!

Same thing happened to me sept I run a desk top,I have a pretty good PC but AA some times acts a bish,At the video setting screen,Start at the bottom of the list of options and turn them down/off a notch at a time,REstart bf2 and try setting AA again.

I have the ram,The cpu duo core/psu750watt coolermaster pro/GPU(Asus 8800GTX) etc, BF2 likes to throw curve balls at ya every once and a while.

OR try what i do with no preformance hits,go to ur Ntune and set AA to over ride app,set it to what ever you desire and enjoy.
After I had my AA working all turned down/off options i could crank back up and aa stayed the same as i set it.SORRY if this post is garbled I R TIRED after working all day :)

    :salute:

Go to My Documents/your name (if you have individual log-ins for windows)/Battlefield 2/Profiles/(Profile number - probably 0001 if you only have one profile)/ and open video.con. Find the line that says "VideoSettings.setAntialiasing Off" and change it to "VideoSettings.setAntialiasing 2Samples" for 2x AA, "4Samples" for 4x AA etc.

      For example: /My Documents/Andy/Battlefield 2/Profiles/0001/video.con

It's a common bug that you can't change AA in the in-game video settings.
