Install Order

I am trying to install the game on my new computer. I have the following items:

1. Northern Strike backup from my old computer
2. BF2142 install disc
3. 1.50 patch
4. EA account with Northern Strike recorded "bought"

OK, so I install the game, then the 1.50 patch, then NS, then 1.50 patch again. Then when I try to go into a NS server it gives me an "unmodified content" error.

What is the proper install order for the game?

1. instal
2. 1.40
3. NS
4. 1.40 reaaplied
5 1.50 "incremental"

That won't make a difference. How long has this patch been out and howcome this hasn't been addressed by DICE?

The way to fix the game is thus. After installing 2142, then 1.5, then NS, then 1.5. Locate the version no. entry in the registry. Change it to 1.10 then re-install 1.5, Search these forums for 'modified content error' to get better instructions.

I have found that installing NS with the 1.5 patch causes instability and random CTDs.
