    Crysis to Battlefield 2

Just finished playing Crysis (a great game) on medium settings. While playing the game I could help but think it has all the elements needed to be modded to a Battlefield style game.

Not being a coder or modder I wouldn't know what kind of undertaking it would be.

    Anyone else have any thouhgts?

The engine is, indeed, kickass. Too bad it`s not popular. A BF style game on Cryengine2 would be killer.

            I don't think so somehow.

The ISNitro team is working on a crysis mod. From what I hear it isn't modder friendly but it does have localized damage like on tires and stuff.

crysis overheats my 8800 gtx. cod4 looks just as good and I don't have to give up playing after a few hours either.. In fact crysis is the only game that started ****ing up on me after playing for a few hours. zzzz...

COD4 does not look anything near Crysis. Yes it does look nice but no where near the look of Crysis. Also please make sure you are playing Crysis in a nice cool enviroment as it does push the hardware to the limits which is why some people have experienced hardware failure trying to run the game on hardware that cannot handle it :).

Occasional breaks are also recommended to keep to give your system time to cool down.

Open up your case and place a regular household fan there when playing crysis. Even though I have great cooling I can usually squeeze out an additional 5-10 FPS :p

TBH, Crysis is very modder friendly.

The only time a graphics card's FPS will drop when it is overheating. At this point, you'll only be getting 1-2fps a second before your system crashes.

So, by simply cooling a graphics card with a fan when it isn't overheating will not gain you more FPS.
