Whenever my friend comes over, he brings battlefield 2142 and sits at the computer within arms reach of me. We did this once. It is very wierd lol. I've also done the third person glitch. If any of you do the third person glitch, look up and run your character looks like a retard. :laugh:

any of you have 2 computers and you turn on bf2142 for both of them and you put both soliders on the same server and you observe how your solider looks from the other computers perspective? that would be interesting

i tried it once in unreal tournament to test out hit detection latency. as far as moves, it definately looks different 3rd person, than it does first person. you don't see all of the little actions that your character makes. i'm assuming it's the same w/ bf2142, the way people drop & roll on the ground, etc. i no longer have 2 computers or even the space for 2 computers.

If it's like BF2 there's a glitch you can do as commander that will allow you to play in 3rd person (and it's legit) - but it's not effective because there's no crosshair :/.

All you have to do is jump out of a plane (err, gunship) parachute, go into 3rd person in the parachute, open the command screen, wait till your guy lands, then close the command screen - you should be in 3rd person.

It was described almost identically for BF2, it's legal - but not much use for it :/

that aint a tactic or anything... its just old code from bf2 and it includes a parachute...

hehe i found a youtube video with a 3d glitch but cannot link to it(forum rules). it is not very profitable as you dont get a crosshair and only can get back doing the glitch again but going further but you will find all information you need on that vid.

You'd need 2 different CDs. Besides, you could do that in battlerecorder.
