I joined BF2 years ago and was hooked for years ! I left BF2 for eye candy and went to COD4. Loved the game and still play it to this day but there was still something missing in the gameplay. I wanted to grab some buddies jump in the jeep or load the BH up and take off. Well we all know that is a no no in COD and i was sad. So years later i come back to BF2 (just a few days ago) As before hooked again, i love the gameplay, ability to grab anything to ride/drive/fly and even the gun sounds.

What also came back was my hate for EA

I saw battlefield 3 for sales and almost fell out of my chair. Without even thinking twice i grab the credit card and went to BB to buy then pick up only to find out it was only for PS3. It was as if someone grabbed the breath out of my lunges and punched me in the stomach. I froze there in my seat thinking "well maybe this is a typo , its really suppose to say "platform: PC." I went to check CCitycom .Odd, They have the same typo :cry: Then reality set in, just as they did years ago they abandon me. First by leaving BF2 in the dust and heading over to BFwhocares then they did it yet again with no PC release.

I would like to say EA i hate you.

Do i hate the games/ programmers? hell no. I am hating the person that continues to make these stupid decisions for the company. I said it before and ill say it again no game play matches BF2, none. I sold out for the eye candy but that only lasts for so long.

...so sad.

Bad Company is built specifically for the console audience/platforms. Less scale, dumbed down in places and a sizable single player game. It is not meant to be a snub to the pc crowd or trying to be BF3. Dice/EA are simply trying to capitalize on the successful IP by expanding to more parts of the market. The real BF3(that they will title as so) will come at some point...

Anyway, welcome back. Try some mods some time.:)

Are you serious? I find that most sounds in Bf2 are pretty quiet and "boring". But like Mantis said, try out some mods, there are many great ones out there.

I meet up with a group of online mates every few nights. Theres about 9 of us who regularly squad together and only met because we play this game and play together well. I wasn't around for the blackhawk whoring era of the game, but none the less we tried it on Mastuur. Most fun I've had in a long time. Although the whoring didnt go well and we lost that game which is a rarity for us, it was hilarious. No other game has the same sense camaraderie, being able to work together in a squad. Theres something very enjoyable about giving someone **** for blowing up our blackhawk with a botched C4 throw attempt.
