Can't start Conflict 2142

Hey guys.

It appears http://cf2142.com is down, so I don't know where else to ask this.

I wanted to try Conflict 2142, so i downloaded the 2.6 version, installed it sucessfully, clicked on the game exe for Conflict 2142 and I get...


"Please insert the correct CD-ROM, select OK and Restart application"

What in the world is it talking about? I don't have one, bought 2142 from EA downloader.

Updater doesn't work either, give some sort of config file error. I tried to reinstall, but get the same issue. Vanilla 2142 still works as normal.

Anyone know what the issue could be?

Try launching it by starting vanilla and going to community/own games

If that doesn't work make a post on their forum

thanks that worked.

so, now I updated to their latest patch 1.92, loaded the browser, and there is only one server with no players.

Is this the normal case for this mod? I want to try a mod that has a populated server.
