Re: Hidden Messages?
Yup. Although EA make mistakes, they do a good job of publishing games. Without them, BF2 might never exist.Originally posted by randomguy114why is it that so many modmakers say this when if EA didnt exist this game probably wouldnt exist and the good mods would most likely not exist either. just a little bit of curiosity and i like pr.Comment

Re: Hidden Messages?
cos EA/DICE promised loads of mod support for BF2, then like 2 months after the editor's release the guy who was going to give this mod support, which he started to do he got like 5 tuts done, got sacked by EA cos of price cuts. Since then we have had nothing, some mods like OPK have had some really small MOTD bits on them, which really helped them, but they stopped doing it after that. So much for there hyped load of mod support they promised hu?Originally posted by randomguy114why is it that so many modmakers say this when if EA didnt exist this game probably wouldnt exist and the good mods would most likely not exist either. just a little bit of curiosity and i like pr.

But in all fairness, why would you release a game n then give someone so much good support that eventually they make a better game than the original, they're keeping it so the mods r bad compared to their creation, but in alot of facts the mods are takin games by storm.cos EA/DICE promised loads of mod support for BF2, then like 2 months after the editor's release the guy who was going to give this mod support, which he started to do he got like 5 tuts done, got sacked by EA cos of price cuts. Re: Hidden Messages?
in all fairness, they broke there promise and we have been pissed off ever since.... If I had the time I would go back over the the announcements they put out before BF2 was released and quote excatly what they said, but I have better things to be doing. But in all fairness, why would you release a game n then give someone so much good support that eventually they make a better game than the original, they're keeping it so the mods r bad compared to their creation, but in alot of facts the mods are takin games by storm.
Ask any other BF2 modder and they will feel the same way more or less, Greasy_Mullet is a POE2 dev for example and look as his reply.Comment

Re: Hidden Messages?
mods make people play the game longer, i would of given up on bf2 ages ago, people have brought bf2 for PR, if bf2 was very moddable, it would make the game last ALOT longer , and more interesting check source engine. But in all fairness, why would you release a game n then give someone so much good support that eventually they make a better game than the original, they're keeping it so the mods r bad compared to their creation, but in alot of facts the mods are takin games by storm.Comment
