it is possible to do it with a full Sized HDD but you need to still have it hooked up through SATA and an External Case

You'd be surprised how easy it is to pirate blu-ray movies and PS3 games just by moving a hard-drive back and forth between your computer and your PS3.

You don't even need a mod chip nowadays, since you can directly edit the game files on the hard-drive... which most crackers do for you anyways. The PS3 doesn't even know the difference.

Nice but extremely straight forward plus the guy was a bit of a fool, but hey better than nothing for people who have no experience what so ever with this kind of stuff.
