about using an 8800 GT? Massive step up, but can it shrug off the game on max settings (does it live up to the hype)?

If you need processor specifics, I intend to use a quad core (I know AMD :S but I'm planning Intel).

If i was you i would go for the 8800GTS (but that's the 512MB one) as it uses the new G92 chip that are in the 9800's.

The 8800's are getting on a bit now but the 8800GTS (512MB) was only brought out in JAN this year, it really is the best 8800 card there is, i too was going to get the 8800GT because of its rep untill i heard and read about the new 8800GTS (512MB).

Take it to the Tech Centre, they'll help you with the whole of your computer build.

And to give you an idea of performance, my PC (with 9600GT, very similar to 8800GT) gets around 150 - 200+ FPS with everything on high.

P.S, Don't go AMD. At the moment at least...

@Skag: Yeah, some googling revealed that AMD :shakehead: So, I opted for Intel.
