    What is this .....

    ......Mickey Mouse crap? Bf2 works fine in each of my DVD drives but BF2142 gives me this error;

    Intel Q6600
    Gigabyte GA-P35-S3G mobo
    4 gig DDR2 800 ram
    ATI X1950XT video card

    All driver updated. Running in Admin mode. Punkbuster updated, etc, etc

    I don't have this problem with BF2, only BF2142.

    I have the DVD version if that helps. I just manually uninstalled, then reinstalled, still no luck.

        Probably you know nothing about Vista.

        edit: oops, you already tried uninstalling. Definitely try cleaning the disc, like Shazanelli said.

          I am running Vista x64 and I agree with Chris.

          I had this problem before, but it happens only when I tried to run it in XP Win32 compatible mode.

              First its not Vista because i have never gotten this issue. Since you have uninstalled and reinstalled then the disc must work right. Do you have any scratches on the disc? I had this same problem with another game and it was fixed by returning it and getting another copy of it. for some reason if you leave the discs in the sun or they get really scratched they lose some of there features or something.
