    Engi Etiquette

    vimeo
[media]http://www.vimeo.com/1301964[/media]youtube....sorry about the music.. youtube killed my audio
    Code:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_S137rRbKe0&fmt=18
I did upload this in high def so if you click on Hd on in the vimeo player it will take u to the vimeo page where u can watch it in hd. Anyways....

This is only the second vid I have ever made, and the first one that I have used vegas to make. I know there are a few spots where the rendering messed things up cause of how it rendered it in high def. i am just to lazy to upload it again... thoughts and comments are welcome.

Nice editing. Some good kills and decent track.

The only thing I would add is the ambient sounds. As in the sounds from the game like explosions and gunfire etc. That would make the audio gel with the video better imo.

i think silent ( i mean just music) videos are best as the ingame sound breaks up the flow of the music too roughly ... what ive seen people doing(mostly in CS:S vids) is putting in specific gun sounds like sniper shots or chink of a knife etc ( i think they do it by getting teh actual sound file)

this effect is far crisper and makes for good syncing

Good to see a video from a fellow Engi enthusiast. The editing was great and so were the shots! Great video! I'm working on a new one my self (slowly). I'd love to see some more crazy pilum shot videos.

I thought about doing this, but I do not record the in game sound, It seems to help with the lag that fraps can cause. I guess I could add the ogg. files afterwards, but that seems like alot of work, maybe in my next vid I will do that for a couple shots.:)

Thought I would getahead of the curve, before my vimeo vid is deleted...Added youtube link... there is a spike in the sound...It is not that bad. I am not sure why it is doing that on youtube only..uploads everywhere else fine.
