TV Missle Delay

Whats up guys, first post though I've been lurking for a while.

I've primarily played IO for the last year or so but recently decided to learn the chopper and have a question for some of you pilots. Until I'm more proficient I've been trying to stick to servers with less people (around 15-25) so often times I end up flying solo. I feel like I'm decent with the TV solo in single player mode but there seems to be a considerable delay when switching to the gunner seat and to TV mode and it also seems to be inconsistent once in multiplayer. Is this something that I just have to get used to or are there any tweaks to compensate for this?

Also now I have switch to gunner seat button set to the inside thumb button on my mouse (G5) so the total motion is done on the mouse. Any ideas on a better configuration or does that sound like it works?

make sure ur ping is low and u aren't lagging

I switch near instantly and I'm still using F1,F2 and Right clicking. You're doing it wrong :)

Just practice... you'll get there eventually.

Yeah....remember you can hold down on your right mouse button before pressing F2 to automatically go into TV mode.

My ping is usually in the 40s so I don't think thats it.

I'll try going back to F1, F2 tonight and see if that makes a difference. If not I guess I just need to work on my timing.

Yes, the missile does behave differently in singleplayer. Try practicing in empty servers. It is the best representation live playing.

Yeah....remember you can hold down on your right mouse button before pressing F2 to automatically go into TV mode.

Well, it would be nice if they made the spacebar jump/parachute like in BF2142, but that's neither here nor there...

Set the nose level with the target and about an eighth of a turn left, then F2, right-click, fire ...all takes about 2 seconds. Then hit the target, thats the trick. Getting the shot off is the easy part, its hitting the target that takes practice. Good luck with that...it does get fun when you start to get consistant with it.

You could probably do that manually in control.con.

I don't know how, but I've done similar things before (binding two actions to one key).

Yeah its going to take a while to figure out the hitboxes. I get the general idea from watching videos but I still tend to over-lead the choppers and send it right through the hole.

Most pro chopper solo-ers use a macro. I don't know why most people hate macro users, it's true that it does give an unfair advantage but if were that bad, PB would kick for it, right? I don't want to give links to websites, but search it up, you'll find many chopper macros.

Stop encouraging people to lame-out by using artificial aids. I shoulder these "pro-nub chopper" soloers/gunners and I don't use sh*t. Resorting to AHK code or other hotclicks in order to be considered competitive is laughable.

That they would then brag about how skilled they are is f*cking hilarious.

pb did kick, its called the quickswitch got kicked for "AutoFire" macros....
