how to get rid of this annoying crapsauce

what is this junk where i select the assault kit and it at random pukes me out with an engineer kit. this is an odd problem but it happens often enough where it causes me some trouble in certain situations. is there anything i can do about this? because i just got on and right after i was tweaking my kit i spawn in with an engi kit instead of the assault kit that I WAS JUST LOOKING AT

i don't think there's any known fix for that. i think it's just a bug, like where you just spawn as the most basic of medics w/o even having the option to choose or having any sprint ability. it's just annoying "crapsauce" as you call it

just another wonderful bug ehem..i mean feature made by DICE. they want us to experience different classes at random times for more scary excitement.

Just one of the myriad of quibbles sent to test us. I have given up hope that they will ever be fixed but if we list them they may be ironed out of Battlefield 3 or maybe even Battlefield 2144

Kit selection doesn't work. Just now spawned is as sniper with stock rifle and nothing else. aaaagh

Death screen doesn't auto clear when your revived. It auto pops up when you die so why not the other way around. Ahh - I'm dead, oh been revived, **** can't see, aaah I'm dead again!

Why do EA feel it necassary for me to watch the walker animation and EA logo every friggin time I start the game. Start the game - wait while all this animation crap plays then wait for it, wait for it, planets here - escape escape escape. Watch it once of maybe twice. I must have wasted a year of my life watching that animation. Escapable movies from the start please.

^^ go here C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142 Deluxe Edition\mods\bf2142\Movies (vista) and change the movie names from blabla.bik to blabla.bikky or anything u want, then voila no intro movies

Quite - but doing so messes up the ability to alt-tab out of the game. The amount of times I forget to switch into High Performance mode or shut down my p2p you wouldn't believe. :thumbsup:

In vista. It has different power modes. Power saver mode runs 2142 like a 3 legged dog!

You can still alt tab if you rename all but one of the movies. I think there is also another fix, maybe +restart 1 in the shortcut target, can't remember.

wait a minute here. i'm new to vista, so bear w/ me. are you saying you can actually switch from a 3 legged dog, power saving mode to a 4 legged dog high performance mode? i want 4 legs:nod::nod::nod:

Cheers man but I think the one you need to keep is the unescapable one at the beginning. Seems almost intentional doesn't it :hmm:

Yeah. All it does is lower the power to your processor. I think, to be honest I'm not exactly sure how it conserves power for your processor. It does other things though like lower the power of your wireless network adapater and something to do with the PCI Express bus. Don't have a clue how much power it actually saves.

I just have Dice.bik, the rest I renamed to.bak, I don't have a problem alt tabbing, but I do have 4gb of ram, which might help.
