Help, Please BF2 + Vista -=(

I bought the $9.99 bf2 from best buy, downloaded it and also installed it as well I ran at as admin and when I loade dit up. It said bf2 is not working exe after the bf2 logo disspeared it's not working =( what could be wrong? I don't have vista sp1 i didnt download it.
my specs are q6600 2 gigs 667 and 8800 gts so it should work
please help anyone

I have bf2 for vista and it works well, all I did was, right click on the icon for bf2 and go to Properties, Compatibility, Run program in ompatibility mode for:
Windows XP (Service pack 2)

I have bf2 for vista and it works well, all I did was load it and play it. oh, and I have Vista SP1 as well ...so lame blaming Vista. There are lots of threads here with people with the same problem, and every one of them figured their problem out, and not one of the reasons was Vista.
