Battlefield 1942 Desert Combat

I realize there is a section for BF1942, but I never see anyone around so I decided to post here.

I just got back into 1942 and I hear the DC mod is the thing to get. Problem is, I downloaded the one that Alex posted in the BF1942 forum and anytime I try to play a map it starts to load and then the game closes.

Do I have to download a prior patch before the one Alex posted?

You need to have BF1942 v1.6 and Desert Combat Final

I downloaded (at the day of BF42) DC0.7, the DC0.8, then DC0.9 then DCFX Joint Arsenal!!! do it like that and make sure ur BF42 is patched up to the latest.

Oh and try Forgotten Hope 0.7 Mod and dnld the texture mod for it, if u cant find it i will be happy to post the dnld links

1942 DC was a riot to play.

sorta like a dumbed down version of bf2 with big maps, no commander toys, and planes didnt rape as hard. Hand held AA stinger missles kept airpower in check.

Personally to me BF DC is still better than BF2 period.

Yeah, I figured it out. I just downloaded 0.7 patch and have been playing some EA servers.

Great mod, BF2 should have taken some pointers from DC.

It did... DICE hired a number of the developers of DC and they helped make BF2...
