How do you uninstall game?

I wanted to unistall game because I was having problems with it.

So, I went to add/remove programs in windows CP and clicked cod4,-remove.

I restarted my computer, put disc in in order to install game again, only under the options, it did not have a install option, only an uninstall option, as if I never uninstalled the game.

I looked back at my add/remove programs, cod4 is not there. I clicked unistall on the Cd, nothing happens.

I deleted all the cod4 files on my pc, but still the cd wont install game, it only has unistall option, please help.

EDIT

I manually went into the CD (via windows explorer) and clicked the setup.exe, it ran, and instlaled game.

I dont know how my cod4 got so f'ed up.

When you uninstalled it, it didn't remove it from the registry. The CD checks if you have any CoD4 stuff in registry (and obviously still found it) so thinks you still have it installed.

A lot of people make this mistake. With games, you should always go through the START menu, find COD4 through the Activision directory, and use the uninstall option. Using the Control Panel often does not remove all components properly.

I tried using the start menu to unistall the game and did not see it.

Of course, its probably just me and I missed it.
