Tbh I thought that had a lot of potential to bring innovation to the game, but Valve had to be stupid (Though I'll admit that missteps don't happen often with them) and not put price caps and include armor and nades.

dynamic pricing lasted for about 5 seconds lol

tbh most people are very hostile to major updates to CS because they want the game to stay as it is

and I mean really, its not a game that needs major changes.

i can remember when they removed the awp quickswitching and that was like omfg armageddon

All they did was upgrade steam and stuff. They had the dynamic pricing crap a few months back... but that was idiotic. But, nothing too new.

Sorry, couldn't resist. Did they release new content for CS:S the last months?

Thannnk you... to the posters above.

CS is a game where no one cares about ranks, whether you respawn or don't...

It's just a game for some respect' :P

thank god I have finally found some people who have the right viewpoint, none of this easy street crap

and yer Kadath the reg issues were usually down to players its a lot better now but not perfect tbh

if you play on a nice 100tick server you will notice no problems usually

More FPS's should learn from CS and stop dumbing down everything. CS is a lot of fun just for the very reason that you always can get better no matter how much you play. If you've mastered the AK why not go ahead and try to become better with the FAMAS (that pwns midrange)

I do think CoD4 is more fun than CS but it could have been even more fun if it was a bit more like CoD2 (very accurate noscopes and tighter bullet spread)

Win, that`s all I got to say.
    Cs forevah, FOREVAH I SAY

Achievements are all nice, but anyone who has been playing cs for a long time won`t give a crap. The game is pretty much perfect.

I've never liked that phrase, to me it's just an excuse to be stubborn and remain set in one's ways.

Imo you should count source & 1.6 separate, though you are right in it being the most popular online FPS in the world.

I dislike CS, other then the extremely fun zombie mod. To me it's brainless at the pub level, just try joining a random dust server. An elitist community, no teamwork, and 2 second firefights (with the same 5 weapons because that same elitist community resists any little change to the game balance), and you get the fun task of watching for the whole round after you die. Thanks but no thanks.

Fun>"Skill", and don't even get me started on "realism".....

Probably the only thing that'd make me buy a new CS is new weapons, different balance for existing one, so I can actually stand a chance with a UMP or FAMAS (or practically anything other then the own-everything M4), and new game modes. You know, what normal games do with new iterations.

Did they at least corrected the hitbox issue for CS:S?

CSS has over twice the servers I believe however, its a very popular game for many reasons

firstly it is highly skill orientated, with a simple and effective weapon system

theres more too it than that but for most people the gameplay is brilliant, even though I don't play it as much it is probably the best online shooter I have played, I myself will not touch COD4 with a 100foot pole

Not every game is about getting awards and stats

Why should I put them together? They're different games.

And you can't get a correct number, it's just like a poll, not all people are involved, but with a decent number you get an average picture of it.

Yea thats what I'm saying, not everyone has a perfect computer. And more people are likely to have a older, worse computer than a brand new, hyped up one. Especially with the world economy the way it is at the moment.
