Vista 64 1.41 patch

ok ive downloaded the 1.41 patch tried running it in xp sp2 mode an all. the 1.41 patch will not install i get this error.


"The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see wheather you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher."

ok yes i run vista 64 ultimate u cant tell me i cant play bf2. i know others are playing it with 64 bit os. the only other search ive been able to find is the patch hangs or something.

whats the soultion to this?

i didnt have this problem when patching 2142

and this is a Fresh install of the game btw

Put the file onto your main partition where your Vista is and try installing it from there, if it is not working maybe the file is corrupt, try redownloading it, I had no problems patching it.

I think I had it once or twice that it told me something like that and redownloading fixed it, maybe you should be sure and download it from another source for example from Total Gaming Files.

When you run the patch, do it this way: right click, run as administrator.

ok 1.1.2963-785.0 this cant be 1.4 cause there are only liek 10 servers that ever come up. i had found a site that told me all the codes for the patches all the numbers. now i cant find it the patch says it installs and all. but if i get a 1.41 server form game monitor it says my version is older

i guess this is more hastle than what its worth

if it says 2963, then you have the 1.4 patch. you need 1.41 patch.

if it says 2963, then you have the 1.4 patch. you need 1.41 patch.
