O.K. I must be the biggest noob ever for asking this to the people of the forum, but I have NO idea on how this works. How the heck do you get more ammunition for your weapons, or can you even regenerate ammo (in the Xbox version). So what? do you regenerate ammo out of thin air or do you need to go kill someone to get their weapon for ammo?

Re: Ammo
Certain guns use the same ammunition. The G36, M16 and M4 all use the same ammo type if I remember correctly.
If you run out, you can always pick up somebody elses gun.
There's a perk available that maxes out your ammunition available when you spawn, to a degree that you probably don't have to worry about it. -
Re: Ammo
Yes, it's called bandolier, but I need to know if you generate ammo (in the Xbox version), or if you're out, you're out.Originally posted by MicsterThere's a perk available that maxes out your ammunition available when you spawn, to a degree that you probably don't have to worry about it.Comment

Re: Ammo
When you are out - you are out. Ammo is not regenerated.
As Micster said, though, ammunition can be picked up from fallen weapons - provided that they use the same type of round.Comment

Re: Ammo
What do you mean by generate ammo?
You only gain more ammo if you walk over a dead body with ammo for your gun (then it auto picks it up and adds it to your current total reserve ammo)
This is same for all versions of CoD4. Though I haven't played Oldschool mode - where you can walk over the areas which will give you that gun or give you the ammo for that gun... Some modded servers for PC may even be using 'give more ammo after X amount of time' but as far as I know, no server 'actually' does this. As it's "pointless" - promotes camping in a way...Comment

Re: Ammo
O.K., this is the answer I was looking for. I do believe that ammo regenerates in the Xbox versions though, but I'm not 100% sure, thanks Dan & DualityComment

Re: Ammo
Ammo is never regenerated. The only way to get more ammo is by running over guns that have dropped on the ground when someone dies.
When you die and respawn, you start off with full ammo. (actual amount depends on the gun/perk)Comment

Re: Ammo
No. Ammo does not regenerate on any version of the game. You only get more by running over a weapon on the ground that has the same type of ammo as your weapon, or by completely swapping weapons. That's it.Originally posted by ZanoI do believe that ammo regenerates in the Xbox versions though, but I'm not 100% sureComment

Re: Ammo
like said before many times, ammo never regenerates, and ammo collection for all the platforms is exactly the same.Originally posted by ZanoO.K., this is the answer I was looking for. I do believe that ammo regenerates in the Xbox versions though, but I'm not 100% sure, thanks Dan & DualityComment
