Must be on shotgun or flare gun.

yer you have to do a taunt for each gun

I like the airblast a lot and there are plenty of situations where its useful but give me that backburner and I will plow through a group of people in seconds add a medic and its x2 the carnage

Yeah the compression blast is just too much of a hassle to use in a regular game compared to the backburner's automatic 50 hp.

Imo it should have been only 25, pyro should be able to match soldier health, not top it.

Or maybe give them both compression, but tack on another disadvantage to the backburner instead, like shorter burn time or range, or slightly less dmg or higher dmg dropoff to the front of targets.

yeh but the pyro has to close the ground first, rangewise all he has is the shotty and even then soldiers and demos will still plow through him as he tries to close the distance

its why pyros need medics a lot, they got to get right in there

sometimes I will switch between the 2 flamethrowers during different parts of the map and depending on the enemy team, but still the backburner is a potent weapon and once you have learned to play pyro enough I think the airblast becomes less relevant
