Alright... I have literally done everything that people say will fix this ridiculous glitch. Cleared the profiles folder, reinstalled twice, deleted the BF2142 file in my documents once, and also set the startup icons to +widescreen 1 instead of +fullscreen 1, heck I even renamed that stupid radial.idb or .cdb file at least 100 or so times that use to fix it I think but not anymore.
No fix. : /
What happens, is the game starts. I usually get the Windows Vista (32bit) thing that says to allow it. I click yes, and it starts. Then it is just a black screen for 5 or 10 minutes in some cases, then FINALLY gets to the loading moves the walker and all of that. When it gets to the log in screen it is incredibly slow, it is also slow when I have finally loaded into my character.
I have a 19" Widescreen Monitor, is this the problem? I got this a few times on my old monitor... but not nearly this much.
My graphics card is updated with the latest drivers (Nvidia 8500 GeForce) so that can't be the problem.
Is there any way to ACTUALLY make this go away for good?
