I cant play a day without seein that the stats arent working the good way, And sometimes they dont work at all. Its just so lame, And ingame.. Mostly servers are very laggy, seeing lots of ppl with a *snip* high Ping.. Does someone know what ea is up to?

Re: Wtf is wrong with EA?
What country do you live in? What's your ping to the servers you play on?
I do not have ping/lag problems in 2142 ever. In fact, I've never had those problems in 2142.
Ping/lag has almost nothing to do with EA and lots to do with where people live and where the server they're playing on is located as well as the speed of their ISP and what kind of computer they can afford.
As for stats, yeah that's EA but only the new maps aren't working yet.Comment

Re: Wtf is wrong with EA?
EA DOES NOT CAUSE LAG. Lag is the delay between the server and your computer. Its, generally, either caused by playing on a server that very far away, a slow internet connection, or a slow pc (or just running it on too high of settings).Comment

Re: Wtf is wrong with EA?
Interestingly I was pinging over 1000 and getting booted from the NFB Camp G server last night. It was only that server, and it was only me getting booted. Strange.Comment

Depends on where the server is hosted and your internet speed.Originally posted by SpLiTzInterestingly I was pinging over 1000 and getting booted from the NFB Camp G server last night. It was only that server, and it was only me getting booted. Strange.
On a UK based server, you might be close to having too high of a ping on a normal night. Then, one time, you might have increased internet usage and your connection speed will drop, raising your ping.
Same can be a problem for the server, although its usually client (you) side problems.Comment

Re: Wtf is wrong with EA?
Actually, if a server has been running for a while some weird things start happening. EVERYONE'S ping jumps to 500+, and the lag is unbearable for about a minute. The auto-admin starts kicking people for high ping, until it subsides... Then it happens again momentarily, until finally everyone is off the server.
Moral of the story is, restart your server every once in a while :pComment

I agree , EA doesn't cause the lag , but I also agree with the origional poster that something is up ...Originally posted by jake___EA DOES NOT CAUSE LAG. We/our server has always been based in Virginia . While on Wolf and SeeMePlayMe I ran a 30+ ping day , night, rain , sleet , or snow . We have semi recently switched to MYis as our provider (again base in Virginia) . Most my clanmates and myself are running 10+ ping higher than before. (except for those in the immediate N.E coast area, theirs is about the same) . For me personally , my connection speed has recently doubbled , I've a great P/C , but for whatever reason , the "ingame" experience has been less than consistant . Be it multiple crashes per day , or lag that makes a 2142 match , like playing under a strobe light .
I understand (and agree) whats been said about connection speed , distance , quality of P/C persons using are all factors that contribute to lag . I get that ... But is it not possible that the interaction at the sourse/server could also be a factor ? Could an overloaded per-slot server contribute issues such as these ? Or , some other technical issue going on behind the scenes be a possible problem ? I don't claim to be a computer wiz that understands the "ins and outs" of all this , but I've played enough 2142 rounds to know when something isn't right with the server .
Sunday night we hosted TBG in a 12 v 12 Titan scrim on our 32 slot server . (Titans Locked) So , we had 24 players ingame , and had very noticable lag issues . So much that it effected the quality of play . We barely got 2 matches done on our server , then left to play the third match on their server .
Idon't know what the issue is , but I think there may be something going on other than the normal contributing lag factors . Sorry for the longwinded post , but this has been a problem that really been pissin me off :laugh:Comment
