If I said their was going to be an enormous 1 v 1 Knife only tournament, played on a custom BF2 Van. Map.. What would be some things you would look for in return for participating, and winning?

Option A - $5.00 sign-up first place winner Takes The POT.

Option B - Everyone just signs up, and the winner Has Bragging Rights.

Option C - Who would sign up for a Knife Tournament.

Please vote on your favorite Option.. And if their is something that you would like to see, or more entice you to sign up for a 1 v 1 knife only tourney, please post those as well.

Just saying that knifing in bf2 is messed up. I dont know how many times i've knifed peoples face and back of the head only to see a white "puff" and see them keep on running

If you know anything about BF2.. Than you would know that hit detection test, you posted there, is worthless.. First of all, if you are moving and shoot at someone standing still you are not gonna hit them. That is simple RECOIL.. but let me point out, that Shooting a G36C and Stabbing someone with a knive, in a knive tournament.. Are too completley different topics.. So lets try and stay on the Knifing topic here.. NOOB SAUCE.

Are you kidding me? Recoil making you miss at less than 2 meters? He better be shooting a SRAW with a big cork in its rear. And no, shooting someone and stabbing them are not two different topics. The hit detection is just as crappy for both. Dont tell me that you have never stabbed someone multiple times and they wont die, but then you stab the air BEHIND them, and they go down

I can tell you now, that I have no issues with hit detection... I am not sure if those guys were from norway trying to do a hit detection test on a US Server or what.. but from face to face range. in a 30-75 ping server.. Hell I will stretch it and say 100.. That would have been a kill.

Anyways.. Cmon Member of the BF2 Community Help me vote.. on this matter.. As their is a 1 V 1 Tourney Coming your way.. Maybe we can get this WA charachter.. that makes his living posting in the forums here.. into this tourney so I can show him how F*** knifing in BF2 is..

I was ducking when I shot the sniper rifle, although the sniper rifle is accurate in all stances.. proning and ducking barely increases sniper rifle accuracy at all - only slightly.

a friend and I joined an empty server (someone else's server where we got ~70 ping) and tested the hit detection for battlefield 2. it's pretty ridiculous.

maybe understanding where you need to aim will make this game a little less frustrating for you.

The game displays a small yellow "X" over your crosshair if you successfully land a hit on an enemy, but because of the reduced resolution and the video compression, it's somewhat hard to see when it does show up in this video. so i added a Beep sound indicating that the "X" popped up. if you want you can view it in fullscreen if you want to make sure, and see the X's for yourself.

Me and my friend tried this on a TV2 server (norwegian) where we both had around 50 ping with the same result. I even tried knifing him instead of shooting, still i get a "Puff" and no kill. So hit detection in bf2 is f*cked up to the maximum.

Just 3-4 days ago i got shot with a prolonged burst from the M249 till the point where i couldnt see the guy who was shooting at me coz of the dust that was coming out oh my head/shoulder. I lost 1/4th of my HP.

You know in the recent weeks, I have begun to see more and more of the white smoke.. But everyone is not getting it.. Is their some type of tweak these people are using to fix this issue, or what is the deal.

Last night for example, I am about 25 m away from guy so, I throw the old trusty M-16 on single shot, and put 20 rounds into his head and neck region, I get nothing but white smoke, And than he turns to me and shoots 2 ak rounds at me.. and I am dead..

And than I hit the (~) key and typed exit. And almost broke my bf2 disk into peices, ROFL..
