Steam Prob

[Hellsent 2.0]

Well since ive got steam I been downloading some vids/trailers from it...I downloaded Far Cry 2 HD trailer, and it downloaded fine...I got to play it and the screen goes a really bright green and the trailer is playing in really weird colours....And i cant see much coz its all sorta disrupted and green....Any help please?

Games are good and im on Latest 8.5 ATI catalyst drivers...

Everything else like movies on mah PC are fine..Just this trailer..I might download another trailer to see if its all Steam vids or just this one...

Potentially a corrupted file, is it the whole way through or just certain frames?

Ive fixed it..had a look trough Steam Suport and came up with this

Windows Media Player 9 Users

Issue: Colors in media files display incorrectly in neon green and red.

Solution: Disable video mixing renderer.
Disable Video Mixing Renderer

1. Open Media Player and go to Tools in the top menu bar and select Options
2. Select Advanced
3. Go to Video Acceleration Settings option
4. Uncheck the Use video mixing renderer
5. Save your settings and exit Windows Media Player 9


Windows Media Player 10 Users

Issue: Colors in media files display incorrectly in neon green and red.

Solution: This issue can be resolved by switching from User overlays to Use high quality mode.
Switch to Use High Quality mode

1. Open Media Player and go to Tools in the top menu bar and select Options
2. Select the Performance tab
3. Under the Use video mixing renderer option check the Use high quality mode option
4. Save your settings and exit Windows Media Player 10
