Highway Tampa bug?

I've recently got back into the game and have found a server running the Highway Tampa map which has quickly become a favourite.

There's a slight problem though and this has happened many times so I thought I'd ask for some opinions.

When in a tank with full health it randomly explodes and the text tells me I've been killed by either a linebacker, a btr or an fav. Is it possible for one of these vehicles to kill a tank in one hit without warning (I didn't think it was as I've never done it)? It just seems odd to me.

Think you will find is what happened is you hit an AT mine you didn't see, and the person who dropped it was sitting in the vehicle it says killed you.

Yup. Not all admins know that, though. So I've been kicked from servers for cheating because I killed an admin with an AT mine at the Reactor Towers while I was flying the other way in a chopper. The text says: Jimtool [AH-1Z] That Guy. They scream about how I was facing the other way and must be hacking, bootzorz. :shakehead:

DPVs strapped with C4 can come at you from behind and get you in one hit.

For an added bonus, hang on a ladder when it kills someone so it says you [LADDER] them.

Well that would make sense. I've never seen that happening before though.

I was "killed" by a blackhawk today too and I was seriously confused.

Oh and the admin threatened to ban the entire US team if we didn't tell him who our commander was. I tried to get a screenshot but it didn't save for some reason.

Gotta love those power hungry freaks.

Thought I'd post this wee update from a game I played tonight on the map.

I was MEC commander and noticed a guy in my team was sitting in a tank doing nothing in some trees. I told him to move his a#%se but he replied that he was building up his armour time. Basically stat padding.

I wasn't standing for this so I alerted the US team to his position and arty'd him. (FF is off, this was just to mark his position)

Next thing I know he jumps out the tank and ends up trying to kill me for the rest of the game. With FF being off and all he mostly succeeded in killing himself which I thought was quite funny. I let him know this.

He does this a few times claiming I'm tk'ing him then someone else joins him.

I spent a bit of time avoiding these two as they found a way to actually kill my tank and tk'd me twice.

The last one there is the best. The new guy seemed to be in love with previous and passionately defended him. Even though the first guy said he was stat padding this one was taking no notice.

I even had to give up commanding my team as I couldn't get resources to them because I had to avoid these two.

Ammo.inf even took the liberty to come on mic and shout at me in his squeaky pre pubescent voice. Something about them not liking me and this is what I get for not letting him play the way he wants to. This puzzled me because I can't understand why someone would want to sit about doing nothing in a game. Where's the fun?

Anyway, I told him to go away and grow a pair and both of them disappeared after that.

This is the first time I've ever experienced idiots like that.

If you see these two then please give them my compliments in the fashion of that Tim Russert story. Unless you can't be bothered.

I dont mind ppl stat padding as long as they do it on their own server. When they waste assets on pub servers it gets annoying.

Jeez, at least make an reasonable excuse, "defend" the main base or something if you want armor time.
