Help - Realy High Ping On Low Ping Comp

Hey, iv been spending all day calling Shaw (my ISP) and running tests but nothing.

I have a Dual Core 2GHz Comp, EAX1800XL Graphic Card, 3GB Ram and 10Mb|s internet service with peak speeds of 25000 Kb|s!

When i run speed tests on various sites like Speedtest.net im getting pings from 6Ms - 20Ms.

But when i go in the BF2 game im getting pings like 200-500, having the highest ping on the server, really laggy, and getting booted by punkbuster!!

Im not using a splitter but am using a router. Even when i disconnect the router i get the same ping in game.

I realy wanna play some more BF2 but getting booted of every 20 seconds (not exadurating) by punkbuster for my ping isnt fun

If you get high ping even after connecting yourself directly to the internet it's almost certainly your ISPs fault.
