Screen freezes for about 3 seconds

Hi all, Ive played bf2 for 3 years and now I got a real problem. Everytime when im a commander, screen freezes for about 3 seconds and then If im lucky the game will continue normally, but if not the screen turns black and the only thing i see on the screen is the winking - at the left side of the screen. So what could be the problem?

Hmm, it sometimes freeze when loading up the commander map but only for a few secs, could try turning down a few settings. Could you take a screenshot of the black commander screen?
