My game files are messed up

Well, I was installing the 1.6 patch, but it was lagging and wouldn't cancel, so I thoughtlessly ended the program, re-started it, and installed the patch.

However, the game wouldn't start. It said the item the shortcut refers to was moved or changed. So I looked in the files, and found a mods folder in my profiles folder, and no MP data folder. Well most likely ending the patch install messed up my game files, so now I've lost all of my profile data. Would a system restore possibly get my profile back?

yes it helps because i had some problems whit some files that i lost and restored it.
