I like all of the new maps, except for the killhouse... It could be fun with less than 10 players in the server... But i rarely land on a server that empty...

They all look great.. the best has to be Killhouse. That map looks like all out death and destruction like a FPS should be! If you want stealth then go buy Rainbow six.

I've got two servers up and running one of which is rotating all new maps only..and another 24/7 Killhouse.

Killhouse - Played 3 on 3 tdm and that was almost too many people.

Creek - Kind of 'awkward' layout. Kind of feels like an original snowy cod map, but instead of being symmetrical, it's not. Decent, but kind of boring somewhat. I dunno, not sure yet.

Broadcast - Fun stuff. Weird spawns, and yeah, kind of strange. Overall, fun though.

Chinatown - LOVE IT! I've played Carentan a million times, but this feels amazing! :shock: :thumbsup: :yay: I absolutely LOVE what they did with this map! Of course the layout and flow of the map, perfect Carentan greatness!

I cant stand china town biggest POS ever, nade bam nade bam, shot through walls, sorry cant stand it, there is no room for tactics either since everything is all like allyway size.

creek = unbalanced

the team which starts in the village type complex just rapes the crap out of the other team since they dont have friggin trees and bushes blocking their view while the other team has a bloody jungle to try and see through.

Just look at the scores if you dont beleive me, played that map 4 times yesterday, every time- which ever team started in the village won by miles. Im talking about 1000+ scores since airstrikes and choppers rape the map like crazy since you cant hide anywhere.


Broadcast = best map by far

killhouse = improved shipment

Don't play it in TDM. Really.

All the maps are awesome imo, I like Chinatown the most I think but it takes a while to learn all the stairs, windows, secret hallways and stuff (enemies everywhere haha)

I played 1 round of HQ on new maps to get the feels and now i am back to 24/7 SD on new maps

I'm pleased with the maps to be honest,

Killhouse - Meh, another shipment exactly what everyone had been asking for

Creek - It is big and fairly dis-orientating at first, but it gives me a chance to break out the M-14, so I love it.

Broadcast - I only played it on S&D for a few rounds so I couldn't really get to grips with it but it seemed mediocre.

China Town - Awesome level design, defined.

Carentan (Chinatown) has been in every CoD and is one of the most popular maps. Yes, you are granted your opinion, I'm just saying that thousands of people think the opposite. Tons were disappointed that the map was not included in CoD4. There are tactics and strategies for this map, it was a very popular s&d map. Maybe you just played on too big of a server for this map. Give it a shot with less people or a diff game mode (I loved ctf on this map for UO and CoD2).

I know with CoD4 a lot of people have come from the BF2 community and CSS community due to this game being a modern warfare game. All of the other CoDs were WWII so people liked and expected similar things and came from the same background.

One thing I noticed playing these maps also is that the community really is good at map making. There are TONS of community maps that are better than these 4 maps, but most people don't give them the chance. Hopefully the community map pack will change some people's opinions (or at least have them playing some community made maps :p )

i haven't seen any of them yet so i was just wondering are the new maps total re-creations or are they still based off the single player maps? and how many are there?

4 new maps
3 are based from story
China town is just random skin but map layout is carentan

As in the other thread these maps are not meant for that many people. Squeezing that many players into such a small space causes the map to break down, and all of the spammy and annoying behaviours to become evident. 16 players or less is what IW designed these maps for.
