What happens when you dont play for months

You rape everyone pretty much :).Me and my friend(who has only played a couple times) completely raped these guys .At the end of the round i has 225 points and he had 205 :).Not to shabby for 2 n00bs against generals and colonels.

All credit goes to my ak-101 :)

Well I know what you mean. I've been playing CoD4 and UT3 more than BF2 lately and going back to BF2 is still really easy. But that's good, because it's always fun! (for me, atleast...)

rank means nothing these days with all the padders out there.

                ...wait!.. you have friends? :p

I notice at least half of your points come from being a medic whore, while the colonel's points come soley from killing others. The honorable way of gaming

I still had 20 more kills than any other player by the end of the round.

Who doesn't want to be medic buddies with their friend so your not waiting all the damn time.

Haha I've had the same experience before. Sometimes coming back after a long break does wonders.

Yeah, BF2 is, imo, the only game where pub players suck complete nuts and I mean some serious suckage at that.
In CoD4, CS, any other shooter you still get good competition in a pub.
Reaction time equal to a turtle`s and a situational awareness of a rock describes a BF2 pubber pretty well imo. Half of it can be blamed on how the game plays.

Re: What happens when you dont play for months

Even "pro" players can only be so good within the confines of the game. In this game, luck is a big factor. Be it the random cone of fire, inconsistent hitboxes, or whatever. It'll never be as pure as CS or UT, in my opinion. I've never shot someone in the face in UT only to get a cloud of dust. And I've never had an AVRiL go through a Manta or a Raptor. What you see is what you get.
Think about that the next time you're aiming a TVGM 10m behind and to the side of an enemy chopper, thinking about how much skill it takes to hit where he was before he started his roll, instead of where he is now, moving 350mph laterally. Wouldn't it take even more skill to actually hit him where he is? Play on a LAN, where everyone has 0 ping, and you see a HUGE difference. But UT and CS aren't quite as different between LAN and internet. Practicing against Godlike bots in UT helps, but playing BF2 single-player on expert and pwning bots means nothing.

Yeah that's what I think, too. Imo, the only real place in BF2 where skill helps is in the jets and helicopters. Infantry only doesn't take skill (I still find it very fun, though) but you will dominate in IO if you know the maps well. That's really the only thing that will make you dominate in IO.

Some days all your bullets with hit and you'll get headshots every time. But on other days, none of your shots will hit, but this doesn't really matter if you know how to flank the enemy to come up behind them.

Gun fights are inconsistent, and basically down to luck. That's why you and your enemy can both be in prone with a PMK firing at each other from 10 feet away and none of the bullets will hit. but I'm not complaining :p

I have not played for a month but I might start playing again soon. Can't wait to see how much my skills have improved.
