EA, oh boy. You're going to get a earful on this rant.
Ea, where can I start? I recently purchased your "NHL 08" Game (More like a F* beta, really), not knowing, it was a typical, lazy *** EA title (once again, not a title, a beta). I installed the game, started it, went to play, and low and behold. Within my first 5 minutes of owning the game,it freezes on me. 5 MINUTES? I think a CODEMASTERS game has lasted longer than that. So, I hit the PS button, return to home (after the PS does a software reset because your game Fecked up.) Ok, so I give her another go. I start making a dynasty, after playing a few games, I go to settings and try to change the "pass" button to R1, but darn. Looks like I can't. It's "classic" or "new". That *****. Owell, I exit out, FREEEEEZE. Yippie. 2 freezes in 1 1/2 hours. Ah, owell. It autosaves after I play a game! NOT. I have the displeasure to find out I just wasted 1 1/2 hours of corrupted game play to find out, it was for nothing. Which leads to my next point. EA, I wouldn't mind if you would have took another month to FULLY take advantage of what the PS3 power house has to offer. Instead, you rushed it and messed up. Eric lindros looks like he just came out of a spray on tan, St. louis looks like he is getting a blow job during the national anthem. Also, for the graphics (or lack of it) the system gets 10C hotter than a game with 10X the graphics (Gran turismo 5 prolouge.)
Now, to rant about online mess ups. EA, you're a aware of this aren't you? After a online game (that is IF you can get in one) you get a black screen. And get disconnected from the EA servers. This is raw bullocks. Also, I'm sick of this "Checking for rosters" every time I start the game. And before someone tells me "Oh you just to this..." thanks friend, but I'm not going to. You know why? Because EA should have done it. If I pay $50 dollars for a game, I want it to be hiccup free. I just got done last night with around 15 shoot outs. Fun stuff. Came home from school to play, and damn. Go to shootout, get one done. Get the stupid black screen after the game. Than the next shootout, I get disconnected, for no reason. (It's not my ISP) Get back finally,than go to the "teamplay" the first time. After waiting 5 whole minutes with everyone "readied" up. Some idiot is sitting in the middle. I thought "Damn, what an ***". So finally the clock hits 0. I go to click on play as RW someone takes it right as I do, the game goes crazy, and freezes. I now know why this poor fellas was sitting in the middle. So, I do another software reset. Than, come back. FINALLY get in a game, go to the opening face off with 3 other folks in the room, and I get disconnected. I'm done EA. I'm filing a BBB seeing as you fail at everything you touch. This isn't so much a crying rant, this is for everyone ELSE that plays this game. EA, your true FAITHFUL are on this board. The Black screen of disconnection, they live through it. The freezes? They live through it. EA, you have to stop taking your hard core EA gamers for granted. Sooner are later they're going to get sick of it and say screw it. Similar to what I'm doing. If a game is messed up from the start, why not patch it? Games been out for about 8 months now, and you've done NOTHING.
EA, my advise, get off your asses. Stop taking your fans for granted. Stop releasing titles that are more like betas. And last but not least, stop mocking gaming.
