I can't add anything into my favorites. How do i fix this? When i try to add servers, it says that its added, but there is nothing there.

Are you on patch v1.5? I do remember a bug like this from earlier versions, and experienced it myself, but haven't seen it for awhile.
First, go into the Join Game screen and reset all of your filters to default. Then do a couple refreshes. Next, go back into your Favorites screen and see if they show up...if they do, I'd make a manual list of the servers you see there.
If you use XFire, you can manually add Favorite Servers to that (and if you don't have it, I recommend you get it, it's free: www.xfire.com ). Once you have your favorites list backed up, you can try to delete the ones from in-game and try to add them in again to wipe out any remaining errors.
Many people use XFire more for searching and tracking servers, as it is faster and more reliable.

Someone else ran into this problem and I finally found a fix for it. Most people, their favorites showed up as 0000000. It may work for you. Try what Whiskey said first, as its the most common.
What you need to do is right down your favorites that you DO have then close the game. In the main CoD4 folder where it is installed, there is a file called "servercache". Delete it and then run your game. The game will create another one and you can then save your favorites again.
