The M249

Evening all

Kind of a random thread i know, but this is something that im curious about.

As LMG's in COD4 go, all you ever really see is the RPD, along with a few M60's for those people who like it, myself included. I was wondering if any of you guys liked the M249, and what makes you like it, what setups you use, or what makes you not like it.

I have tried this weapon over and over and have never really clicked with it, i want to love it, but i cant.

So yea, opinions, rants, whatever, i would like to hear them. :salute:

I started with the RPD when I began to use LMG's. I love it. Once it went Redtiger, i decided to retire it and start working on the other two. Of the 3 I like the M249 the least. M60 next & the RPD at the top of the list very far above the other two.

I don't get the same accuracy as the RPD and I have just never developed the feel. I like the way the M60 fires, but the only sight I can use on it is the red dot, the iron sights on the m60 royally suck.

The M249 is great in HC! With red dot its like a dream! I love it! I love all LMGs! Must say I like the RPD least for some reason...:|:

I don't really like any of the LMG's for some reason.

But my favorite pub setup is my M60 with double tap and steady aim. :laugh: Tis a blast.

None of the LMG's for me - I only play S&D and they're simply not mobile enough.

I like the RPD best though.

i like RPD more simply because it seems to kill faster then the m249.

dude u dont need Stopping Pwer with it in HC, all u need is SoH or DT (slieght of hand or Double Tap)

its good in normal mode but a bit overkill in HC, u will normally notice the people who use it in hc have a similar death count as to kill count. Silenced G3 is HC's best gun imo.. anyway the M249 is awesome with a red dot sight and stopping power.

When I use an M249, I equip Grip + Stopping Power or Double Tap for Normal mode. I don't play the misnomered Hard Core mode.

Lately I play shotgun (gold) but if I start getting pwned by the sprayers I can change my kit to the above and spray my way back to the top.

I dont even bother with -60 or RPD, dunno enough to comment on them.

i like m249 best out of the lmgs.
m249 > m60 >rpd. (sorry to all the rpd lovers,) cant get the feel of the rpd
