Just going through dells website and I found a dell precision or something, so I click it and was shocked at the options available.

for £6000 you get 2X intel dual cores
32 GB of ram WTF
1.5GB nvidia graphics card, again WTF
i believe there was a solid state hard drive option too

the rest is pretty much your standard stuff,

OK its a total bump, unless you are loaded. But woah, can you imagine the load time on that???:shock:

seriously, i didnt think 32GB of ram existed until now in a 'anyone can buy pc' (if you have the cash)


so you reckon any one has bought one of these for gaming (technically they are aimed at architecture businesses etc.)

It's not for gaming, it's for work like video or graphics designing, very high end stuff.

Although a solid state drive will make mincemeat of a raptor

except in write speeds I think, cant remember if thats the benchmark but in one it fails (or at least used to)

I put BF2 in a ramdisk once. I don't remember much difference in loading though.

yeh i know, i went to the business customer section, im just surprised that that kind of stuff is available if you have the cash.

I thought to get those specs would mean going through lengthy processes with a specialist company, not 50 seconds customise and buy off the internet.

I don't think it would do much. It just allows you to use higher specs, that's all.

You can run high details and always load 1st with much cheaper config :)

My PC was £800 and it owns bf2, CoD4 and Bf2142 on all high graphics
