How do you get CoD4 on a other drive...

...while not having to start all over again with my ranks/weapons/challenges.

I don't have much space left on the C drive, but plenty on the D drive; so i want to get CoD4 on my D drive without having to start all over again.

Copy "C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\players\profiles" to retain your saves and control setup, or just the "mpdata" file in "C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\players\profiles\<Profile Name>"

When you move it over to your other drive, create a new profile and play a multiplayer game, then copy & paste over your new mpdata file with your old one.

Ok, i will try this. If i need help are you here for me? :)

So i just need to reinstall the game, right? And then make a new profile, do nothing with it and paste the mpdate into there?

Ok, still a question about the copy&paste because i think when need to paste it, do i need to delete the other mpdata file that's already in that profile?

You can throw it in the recycle bin if you want to be "safe". Or tell it to overwrite, whichever.

Ok thanks for clearing it up.

EDIT: Seems like it's working. Though i still need to test it with the new patch and all, but still infinite thanks to who helped me!
