Advertising in game?

Im not sure but, is advertising for real brands allowed in video games?
Ive heard from different people that this was against the law...
What I mean is go look at the big signs in Highway Tampa with the Intel (I think) publicity signs.

BTW, I had an other remark, completely off subject, but why do servers say 'go read our rules on *clanwebsite*'?? I think this is useless because I have never quit/minimized BF2 to go visit some server's rules...I'm just saying that making the rules scroll in-game is better and could avoid rule breakers...

You're thinking of when real product names are used without permission from the company. This is quite the opposite; Companies pay to have their products in games/movies.

And yeah I've never minimized to read server rules. Some admins are just full of themselves.
