Help would really be apreciated!!

Ok, So i just bought The orange box a couple of days ago and I luvvv it . Half life 2, and episode 1 , and teamfortress 2 have been keeping me entertained and i feel as if 29.99 for the orange box was a steal. But heres my problem. Half life 2 episode 2. I WANNA KNOW WHAT HAPPENS but when i press the icon on my desktop, it shows the background, says its loading, and just freezes. Nothing happens, I dont even make it to the main menu. Ctrl alt delete dont work......and i have to manually restart it. Ive tried restarting steam, Didnt work. Ive reinstalled the entire orange box. Dosent work. i really wanna know what happens (please dont tell me) and so can you help me? What shall i do? :|:

I would have said it is a software error since it doesn't load, but if you say you've reinstalled it all then i#m not really sure.

The main solutions will require you to access the main menu. So i suggest go to:

Programme Files > Steam > Steamapps > (You usename) > hl

Right click on the Half Life 2: Ep 2 icon and go to Launch Options

Type into launch options : "-novid -windowed"

Without the ""

This will sip the intro vid and take you straight to the main menu.

Thanks but no dice. I cant find Launch options when i pressed it :\
