    Server owners...

Pls, put in the title if the server is HC or normal mode, I'm sick and tired of running into HC servers for 2 hours while I want a normal game, makes me wanna play something else.

IW doesn't give us the filter, so let's try to do it ourselves

We marked our server for hardcore a LONG time ago, but with the size limits with names on servers, what is the "normal mode" standard? HC and hardcore work is used. SC and Normal or Softcore?

such a big mistake to not add it to the filter before launch, let alone this many months later...one of the reasons I stopped playing for awhile.

A lot of HC servers have it in their name, yes but there are also tons that don't and those really piss me off. For regular, put V or R in the name.

OMG. How long does it take you to get into a COD 4 server? A fraction of the time it does for other games like BF2 and BF2142. If you find out it's hard core and you don't like hard core, disconnect. Find a server you like and play there excusively.

It is becoming harder and harder to find non-HC servers, due to "HC" not always being in the name. Even if you can connect quickly, discover it's HC and leave, you then have to remember the name of that server in the future so you can avoid it. When you're constantly finding HC servers you don't want, unless you have paper with you making a note of each one, you're bound to make the same "mistake" over and over again. Add finding a low ping server into the mix, and it becomes even more difficult.

And not all servers that have a good ping relative to the player also have regular populations so that you can play there exclusively...some nights they'll be busy, some nights empty. Sometimes you'll have a good group of players, sometimes a bunch of idiots.

The whole process is often frustrating, and not as easy as some people think. A HC/SC filter in the browser is needed.

 No one will play on anything else

I tried to talk my guys into turning it back into a regular rotating server, but when we have, it stays empty.

                  Sorry,

It's on 24/7 shipment and is empty, and the graph doesn't look that good either.

Make it a rotating softcore SD server and I'll try to populate it. I just checked what my ping would be with the command prompt, which is better than what I'm getting on the west coast servers that I play on.

I will get the ball rolling on that.

The big difference is in BF2/142 you can check just about every little tiny bit of information about the server before joining, so you don't need to join to see if you like it. In CoD4 it's trial and error.
