The best HL2 mod?

So what are your favorite HL2 mods? :)

I can't decide, but I love Insurgency, and Jailbreak is fantastic!

I like Insurgency, because of the realism and gameplay style, and Jailbreak is great for fun, fast-paced, action-packed games.

Those are definently two worth trying...

So what do you think is the best mod out there for HL2?

Heck yes INS!

I thought there was only up to Gmod 9 though... :p

I played Gmod once, (I don't remember what version) and I ended up just setting up bots with the AI off and then once I turned it on, I watched them destroy themselves. It was great - but it lagged so bad. :laugh:

INS can be good, but i like Age Of Chivalry more, new and original, and fun

Never tried that one... Guess I'll have to sometime. Isn't it like based in the Middle Ages?

I'm guessing there is no shooting in that mod...

Imo I like Synergy, Cuz its always fun to charge into combine fire with 16 other people ^^

The mod I play the most is probably The Hidden. It's a 1 v rest game play type, usual number of players are 1 v 3 to 1 v 7. The solo players is an escaped experiment who only has a knife, and some grenades but has some special powers like invisibility, can "pounce" great distances, can cling onto walls and ceilings, can see people through walls and some others. The rest of the players are a squad that works together to kill "the hidden" they have a selection of guns, and some gadgets (which aren't that great).

The game has a great atmosphere as you don't know where or when the hidden will attack, it can creates a lot of tension causing people to just freak out shooting anything they see. It's a really great game to play with friends, using teamspeak or something as ingame voice chat is pretty crappy.
