Lag during orbital strike (never before)

After buying deluxe edition for northern strike, i have been having major lag during orbital and emp strikes. Now this has never EVER happened before.

my specs are just fine for it, i have been playing for a 1 year with a 7500 LE 1.86 duel core, and 3 gigs ram. and never had lag during this before. My graphics can range from low to medium high and this problem wont go away.

does anyone know how to fix this?

i heard from somewhere like 6 months ago, a virus protection thing checks orbital strikes and emp.....wtf?

can anyone help me, i want to be able to run easily through the orbital strike and not die.

maybe u got somekind of trojan that is making ur PC slower? dunno tho

I have had occasional lag during orbitals ever since I owned this game. that may be because I push the graphics pretty far. but it doesn't happen all the time. sometimes I can move freely through, other times I die because I can't tell where Im going. I have gotten lag on EMP strikes as well.

IS there other stuff going on while the orbital is goinig on? like a lot of frags or shots or even soldiers?

TroyGentry If that was the problem he would have noticed More. I have actually the same problem. But only with Orbi's.. When they drop an orbi on my head i know i must be in a very big space, Other wise i will walk to all the walls because my lag:laugh:

Nop... Its just his pc. It can run battlefield. But it can run battlefield while there happens 100000things at one time, Like an orbi+EMP.:dead:

i found a (HALF) a reason....repeat...some lag went away but i still have alot, Daemon tools was on apperently, but the lag reduced....not by alot tho...like 10%

Make sure you have as few processes running as possible.

Uhm, you can check them via google. There's websites that tell what process is doing what. I was able to disable about 10 processes and still run 30. Too much, I know.

what are your PC stats?
That's really necessary information we need to know before being able to diagnose much with any real accuracy.

Well, note, he did say he never had lag before... And he did give specs... His specs aren't great, but if he never had a problem before with the same computer, this is different. Try doing a clean install of BF2142 without NS. NS maps are also more resource intensive than the vanilla maps so that might a reason if you are lagging on NS maps.
