Game freeze

So Ive recently been having some problems with cod4, it freezes for a second once in a while and then goes to black screen and then back to normal. It does this maby once every three minutes...

My comp is fairly good and shouldnt have any problems running cod and it hasnt until a while ago...

Anyone had this problem or know whats causing it?

Yes, my video card was overheating. I took manual control of the fan and turned it up to 75% running.

Yeah... I was suspecting that, cause when the computer had been shut off or in sleep mode and I started to play it was fine... Ill turn my fan up too... thanks buddy!
