This is the message I sent to EA support. I know someone will read this but I'm not sure if they're planning to do anything now that patch 1.50 is out:
>>>>>>
I'm sorry to say this but BF2142 has got to be the most unreliable and sloppy-programmed piece of software I have ever used. During the past few weeks, the EA master server seems to be barely breathing and on top of that the BF2142 client has no exception handling whatsoever. As a result, the game will not even boot properly and freeze on connect if there is any network problem, or just crash/kick you out with no message.
My question is this: wince there is no expiration date on the game itself, is EA willing to correct this totally unacceptable situation or is it part of its policy to force clients to quit this game, so BF3 will get more sales?
PS: My comments refer to the "product" itself and the s/w quality, as a professional s/w developer, not just as a frustrated player.
<<<<<<<
Perhaps more people should start complaining to EA in the most official way, so they start taking it more seriously.
