Im having immense, massive, enourmous fun replaying STALKER, using the AMK mod, aswell as a supplement of supporting minimods (realistic weapons, names, weather mod, et cetera). Ive spent 6 hours roaming Cordon ALONE, which is the very first part of the game. Unbelievable.

Anyone who played STALKER and now wants to replay it, or felt STALKER to be missing something, this mod if for you.

It has the best atmosphere and level design since Half Life 1.

In its vanilla state, its a half-as5ed RPG-ish FPS. Its solid, but insufficient. If you throw in a major SP experience enhancing mod, and an assortment of clever minimods, you get basically the game that was designed in the first place.

I havent stopped playing Stalker since its release, its an immense SP and a great piece of work, Clear Sky will be even better cos they will add more stuff they wanted to put in originally

The mods for it are also great

But I still love my G36 with a silencer and an m203 launcher attachment

Started playing it again with the Oblivion Lost mod, fun as hell. AI actually does **** to get you now.

Currently I run the newest AMK mod, which is 1.40, you should patch it with the newest English mod (Russian text translated, LOLz at older versions, with Babelfish translations :laugh:). I also have realistic weapons name mod. AMK weather enhancement mod. And the FLOAT32 perfomance increase mod.

Thing is, you need to install them correctly so that they wont conflict with each other.

Start with FLOAT32, then AMK, weather mod, ENG mod, weapons names mod. Theres also a few weapons realism mods.

You could also try Oblivion Lost mod, its similar to AMK, but changes the STALKER gameplay more than AMK does.

On your first AMK game, you may have a huge perfomance hit, remember to set the lightning to static in the options menu, then restart the game. From 15 to 70 FPS.

Also, it may not work out for you the first try, use common sense when installing the mods, READ THE README texts. Its all rather complicated, but worth the trouble.
