i just read about how the community outrage against the BF:BC cash for weapons system caused them to change it to free weapons.
however, i think this might be the sign of things to come in future BF games and we might see this in BF3. i think it might all depend on the success from a similar model in BF Heroes. i doubt many hardcore BF fans will pay for items in BF Heroes, but if a lot of noobs do, they might implement it for BF3.
on the other hand, i think maybe with the possibility of money generating off this system might make DICE/EA improve on quality and support. i don't have a problem if it's like BF Heroes model where you don't have to spend money, you can get it through playing a lot and gaining points. i see their point on this as it helps casual gamers catch when it comes to equipment which requires accumulation of experience; not everyone has time. as for exclusive money only items, as long as they are not game-play altering and doesn't give a tactical edge (like outfits), i am not really against it.
what do you guys think?
