    Sudden Suck Syndrome

How many of you suffered from a gaming disorder that I called "Sudden Suck Syndrome"? The syndrome will appear without any warning. It just happens without any warning, and then you lose all your situation awareness, ability to aim and shoot. The end result will be bad KDR for a few rounds and loss of confidence, until the ability recovers.

      Tell me about it.
I've had that for the last couple of days, it really angers me.
I struggle to kill a guy before I die and randomly walk out in the open wich I normally never do.

I just quit 2142 because I couldn't take it anymore...

sometimes when i start playing and my hands are cold an i jump onto a server that has some higher skilled players on it i might get owned more than normal for a bit but..

I can tell if im going to play well before i even turn on the computer, depends on how energized your brain feels. Sometimes if i didnt get alot of sleep the night before or im just not in the mood ill just watch my brother play or something.

Its kind of cold in my house probly 50 degrees in the computer room so half the reason i normally drink coffee is partly because it warms my hands up so i can aim and move better.

Just take a break for a while ( a few hours or maybe a day or two).

Usually that works for me. :)

I'm a really gun-ho type of player, and my KDR suffers for it, but I don't play conquest much so it's usually not a problem. But sometimes, I swear it seems like the game it out to get me. I die for the stupidest reasons. Had a round a few days ago, where twice in a row I spawned in vehicles just as they exploded. In that same round, I was TK'd by my own motion mine tracking an empty vehicle, ate my own grenade because a team mate stepped in front of me just as I threw, got "ran over" by an empty jeep parked right next to a silo when I got too close, was team killed repeatedly by a titan gunner, and died at least twice due to a beacon placed too close to the shield "bug zapper" that covers the spawn area on the titan. I went something like 10 and 18. Sometimes it just happens that way I guess, but it sucks when it does.

i die more playing titan mode. you are subject to more randomalities and your exposed to more dangerous stuff usually.

alot of times i have gotten killed in regular conquest sneaking up on a walker and running around underneath its legs tossing motion mines, right when it starts moving i get blown up caus i wasnt finished tossing. argh

                        Re: Sudden Suck Syndrome

Its so hard to play with these things happening to you.

-Long Sleeved shirt, Hoody, or anything that slows you arms down JUST a little.
-Cold. Playing in the Cold is AWFUL, you'll shudder sometimes and hit random keys and mess up, its harder to aim and uncomfortable as hell.
-Sudden noise. Dogs Barking, Cops, Ambulances, Firetrucks, Bombs, the like. It will distract you long enough to mess up.
-Noob commanders (Soviet LeadFacial is my latest) I'm going to defend harbor, and hes starts trashing some other squad. I tell him to shut up, and he starts accusing me of "hacking" and other rubbish. Any commander basically that spams orders, acts like a ****er, or messes his team up = annoying.

The most im affected by it is when i join a server for the first time and go 0-5 or so ... but i always make up for it by finishing the round 30-12 or something

Oh, "SSS"? Yeah, my doctor diagnosed me as having it last weekend:p

He suggested a few hourse break. I followed his instructions and I was cured.

I hate going to a server, dominating, switch servers, dominate, go to the first, SUCK IT bad, cry, eat a pickle, get back on and roxsox

Cold hands is the worst of the problems. My house doesn't get warm often and playing early in the morning when it's coldest just doesn't often work in my favour. At that point? I either command or don't bother playing at all.
