Hit reg

Does anyone else find they can unload half a magazine from the AK-101 to get a kill even if you're firing directly into the persons face while you're both prone? Just an example. I have to have one of the lousiest hit regs I've ever seen. The person has to be standing completely still for me to get the kill and even then I have to unload another burst into them for the kill.

I watch some infantry videos from time and to time and can't stand watching them because I see these people with absolute amazing hit regs and have no idea why their hit reg can't be mine. :p It doesn't bother me too much, but it can be insanely frustrating.

The lowest my ping is is usually 50 and up.

Anyone have any similar problems?

Well, i dont actually notice this as much in PR Probably got something to do with the fact that you run and sprint slower in PR.

BF2 ground combat sucks. If that's your primary interest in BF2, consider CS 1.6/Source or COD4.

@ The PR post. PR does not fix hit detection in any way, shape, or form! Shameful self-promotion.

Now that that's cleared up, BF2 hit detection is terrible to say the least - especially in the infantry department. The best way to improve it is to play on servers that offer the lowest ping possible.

Play on low ping servers and you should be fine.

And btw, most of the time when I think I have hit registration problems I'm actually the one playing as **** Just saying...

A lot of the "pro" frag vids you see are made by Scandinavian players who have:
• Fantastic internet connections
• Tweaked their interpolation settings.

And they live close to the other people in the server (relative to the US and rest of the world)

I can still manage this even with my lousy hitreg:

So I would just imagine if I actually had a nice one. :|:

For the record, the commander didn't help at all the entire round and we were constantly under uav from the other team.

Notice all the high-pingers on that server?

Yeah, that's probably why your hit-reg is lousy..

Did i say that PR somehow fixes the problem? All i said that its less noticable in PR coz you run slower (the "real" hitbox doesnt lagg that far behind the actual model). So please, read my post before writing some random crap. M'kay?
