It won't ever be as bad as BF2/2142 because there aren't global rankings too. Once people get the achievements and get tired of them, things should get better.

Heh I even found a server named "Medic Achievement Server" and the map running was called "med_achi"

It'll get better in a few days hopefully. I saw medics uber spies and scouts 3 times today, it was awful!

I'll admit I farmed, but the only achievement I wanted was the first one anyway, so I only did the easy ones. Having tried them out, I found the the regular uber is better, and I suck with the ubersaw (damn thing just doesn't crit).

Now, when scout unlocks come out, that a different story.....

I kinda like how releasing the unlock for a specific class changes the landscape of the game....for instance, it's quite hard to be a scout nowadays (though I still do it), because everyone is getting constantly healed, it tough to do hit & run attacks, because they're healed by the time you come back.

On the other hand, it's a great time to be a heavy or pyro. I suspect that as other achievements get released, more of these temporary changes will happen, and that will liven the game imo. Whether this was part of valves intentions, I don't know. But imo, the update has had a positive effect on the game.

Besides, if the medics farming in the back are annoying you so much, just go scout or spy and assassinate them. You're helping your team by eliminating potential ubers by the enemy anyway. Trust me, it's very entertaining. :evil:

I tried a few of those achivementbox_b3 servers, quite a few had engineers with a level 3 sentry gun, just sitting there and killing the people on the other team just as they spawn. I saw a person with nearly 3,000 points, seemed kind of pointless to need all those points or why the people on the other team didn't leave the server, as most of them were trying in vain to destroy the sentry.
