We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.

Lose of connection happens everytime I play. I lose connection all the way back to the EA master server login screen when the game first starts and it is extremely annoying.
I was actually expecting this, and no I am fairly sure it has nothing to do with patch 1.50.
Microsoft is responsible for running the servers for all XBL games, but for the PS3 it is up to the game publisher themselves. Rumour had it that Rockstar were going to be using GameSpy to handle the GTA4 servers for the PS3. Then surprise surprise, just as GTA4 comes out the battlefield servers, which are also all handled by GameSpy have a bunch of problems.
Seems to me like GameSpy are having problems keeping up with the huge demand put on their servers/network by all the GTA4 players (and no doubt are prioritising GTA4 over the older games too).
I cannot find any firm evidence that Rockstar did indeed use GameSpy (and don't have a PS3 to check), though considering the rumours that they were going to, and the timing, it seems fairly likely.
Wonder if this one of the reasons been getting lag spikes, when players join/disconnect server lately. Even lost connection. How long will this go on for?
Sometimes I wonder if it is EAs way of marketting. To make us stop playing what we are playing to move on and purchase their latest games. Well, it is helping me stop playing a game "BF2142" to do outdoor activities "RC helis". Tired of spending money to keep up with stuff that ends up being garbage.
well they probably started out with a lot of master servers (i hear theres at least 1 in every important region), and as the game started losing popularity, they probably took some off-line. it probably doesn't make sense business-wise to put more master servers online than needed.
Some days are better than others, some days I have no problem, but today I kept losing connection so I just gave it up. I hope they fix this.:shakehead::shakehead::shakehead:
